On Roy Lichtenstein's centennial birthday, the ALBERTINA Museum in Vienna will be featuring a retrospective of over 90 of his iconic paintings, sculptures, and prints. A pioneer of Pop Art and ranked as one of the most influential American artists of the 20th century, Lichtenstein is renowned for his cartoon-like aesthetic, employing bold colours, clear lines, and Ben-Day dots reminiscent of comic book printing. The exhibition will showcase his invariably charismatic and penetrating works from the 1960s, including "Drowning Girl" and "We Rose Up Slowly".
On view from 8 March until 14 July 2024 at the ALBERTINA Museum in Viena.
