February was filled with exciting new product releases and lots of content. Let’s dive into what shipped this past month at PlanetScale, starting with some product updates.

📋 Changelog

One of our most exciting features launched this month: schema recommendations.

Your Insights dashboard will now automatically display recommendations that can be applied to your schema to improve database performance, reduce memory and storage, and improve your schema based on production database traffic.

Other new features and improvements:

• In January, we introduced support for foreign key constraints, perhaps the most requested addition to PlanetScale. This February, they’ve reached general availability.
• Interested in building your own public integration with the PlanetScale platform? Now that OAuth applications have entered public beta, anyone can!
• Finally, we’ve simplified our plan offerings by deprecating the Scaler plan. Upgrade to Scaler Pro to take advantage of consistent, resource-based pricing.
